Vertical Fall Protection Systems

Testing, inspection and maintenance of vertical fall protection cable and rail systems

Vertical fall protection systems are critical for safeguarding workers in a range of environments, including fixed ladders, masts, poles, pylons, and inside wind turbines, as well as other industrial and commercial settings.

These systems typically consist of a vertical cable or rail paired with a traveller device that moves with the operative, securing them via a short lanyard connected to the chest attachment of a full-body harness. If a fall occurs, the traveller locks instantly, reducing free fall and minimising the risk of injury.

As with all fall arrest systems, regular inspections and testing are essential to meet statutory requirements, specifically BS EN 795 and BS EN 365, which mandate annual maintenance.

We’re fully approved by all major manufacturers of vertical fall protection systems, ensuring we provide reliable and competent inspection and testing services.
